Software Sales Executive, Pre-sales, Account Manager, CRM, SQL

Our client are seeking a bright and talented Software Sales Executive to help generate new business, selling a very sellable software product. Our client develop software which existing business systems and organizations can use to access real-time insights into customer journeys, and use this information to improve customer experiences. The Software Sales Executive will help to generate new business and play a vital role in delivering informative sales proposals. The Sales Software Executive does not need to be technical but need to have knowledge of IT systems and experience selling CRM or similar software products.

The position of Software Sales Executive is an exciting (and lucrative) opportunity to be involved in a growing and reputable software company. Based in Woking, to the west of London, the Software Sales Executive will need to travel UK –wide and will occasionally be needed in the office for debriefs and product training. Key Responsibilities of the Software Sales Executive include:

• Generate and qualify leads
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies and schedule sales activity
• Develop and maintain a customer database, sales and promotional materials
• Plan and conduct direct marketing activities
• Make sales calls to new and existing clients
• Develop and deliver presentations to current and potential clients
• Negotiate with clients
• Develop and deliver sales proposals documents
• Prepare and present sales contracts
• Conduct product training
• Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
• Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
• Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships follow up on sales activity
• Carry out market research and surveys
• Identify and participate in sales events, show and exhibitions
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and trends
• Plan and prioritise personal sales activities - especially managing personal time and productivity.


The following knowledge/experience is desired:

• Knowledge of IT systems and networking:
• Hosting environments and platforms
• Microsoft Enterprise solutions like .NET and MS SQL
• HTML, Java scripting, other

This is essentially a field-based (on-the-road) role in which you will be travelling around the UK visiting clients directly. Woking is the office base which you will have to visit for product training and debrief etc however the client are happy for the Software Sales Executive to be based anywhere in the UK.
