Applications support analyst required for a leading global asset management and asset servicing organisation on an initial 6 month contract based in London. The successful candidate will support Middle and Back Office operations for our clients globally

The role
You will be part of a small team that provides technical support to a large diverse user base comprised across the client and internal users globally. This is a great opportunity to learn financial processes in a dynamic, multi-platform environment. It will also provide you with the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge across a wide variety of technologies, banking functions and financial instruments including, equities, derivatives, FX, securities processing, portfolio accounting and client reporting.

The successful candidate would be expected to work effectively with clients and a range of other technical and business teams to provide speedy resolution and answers to support issues and questions

Experience
** Knowledge of enterprise computer application technology design (databases, infrastructure, and networks) usually gained through related experience, is required to be effective in identifying and advising on technical support issues.
** Business analysis and problem solving skills are needed for understanding and ensuring data integrity.
** Good documentation skills are required to draft and update support documentation.
** Strong communication skills are required for client interaction.

Responsibilities
** Monitor, control and report on the IOO Platform, by working with application and technical teams to ensure appropriate quality and continuity of service:
** Application availability
** Data Transmissions
** Technology controlled data quality
** Provide first line support for all technology incidents (break/fix).
** Serve as a communication resource for any service disruptions or delays, participating in critical incident swat sessions as necessary.
** Author or assist in creating client incident reports.
** Work with change leads to facilitate UAT/Client end to end testing as necessary.
** Be a resource to IOO Clients (internal and external) in resolving production issues and answering process/logic questions.
