My client, a long standing investment company with offices in the heart of the City, London requires a Service Desk Analyst to work on a perm basis in their City of London offices

Job Overview

Providing 1st line internal and external support to the client’s end users and clients, with some 2nd line support when necessary.

Key Requirements:
Experience of working in a Service Desk environment
Experience of using a Service Desk application
Excellent communication in all forms
Basic understanding of a computer network
Windows 10 experience/exposure
MS Office 2016 support skills (especially outlook)
Experience in mobile telecommunicates

Main tasks

Business
 To ensure the Firm’s I.T. infrastructure functions smoothly both in London and at the Firm’s other offices. To make recommendations for improvement where appropriate
 To be the Firm’s ‘resident expert’ in own area of specialisation
 To provide flexible staff cover when required
 To adhere to the firms security Policy/Handbook

Technical
 To be generally conversant with the operational characteristics of all the Firm’s systems
 To Provide 1st & 2nd (when necessary) line support logging via Service Desk application.
 To provide predominantly internal support, but some external support to clients who access the client’s Online Portal.
 To be particularly conversant with own area of specialisation
 To keep abreast of technological and market developments and make recommendations to the Head of I.T. where they might be of use to the Firm

Organisational / procedural
 To ensure that own work is properly organised and documented to the highest industry standards

Interaction with users and suppliers
 To be positive and pro-active when dealing with queries and problems with staff
 To treat all suppliers fairly and professionally

Qualifications, skills, experience and competencies needed
 Preferably educated to Degree/A Level/HND/City & Guilds or equivalent
 ITIL Certified
 Able to work under pressure and think on your feet
 Analytical and numerate
 Used to problem solving under pressure
 Used to working ‘until the job gets done’
 Well organised
 Customer facing
