In this newly-created role you will be responsible for designing and executing our external relations strategy, focusing on promoting the interests of our client to media and other influencers in the technology and financial services industries.
You will have direct access with senior leaders within the organisation UK and global business, where you will be called on to provide expert counsel as well as a fresh perspective on how best to tell the Clients story to achieve our collective goals.
We’re looking for a dynamic, self-starter who can hit the ground running, and is just as comfortable advising and influencing senior leaders as they are writing and pitching stories and connecting in with internal stakeholders across the business.
What you will be doing
Developing and executing the Client PR and media strategy in the UK, including cultivating and managing close relationships with key media outlets and journalists and identifying and securing relevant opportunities with influencers across corporate, government and industry channels
Identifying, engaging and building relationships with key parties in the financial services and technology industries for the purpose of extending the clients narrative.
Building and maintaining relationships with the clients leaders in the UK , including providing counsel and guidance to senior leaders on key business, reputation and communications issues.
Preparing media releases, speeches, articles, interviews, op-eds and other materials.
What will you need
Previous significant experience leading and managing public relations strategy and execution including corporate affairs.
Strong connections to either the financial services or technology industries, including established relationships with relevant media.
Significant experience in planning and executing a broad range of corporate affairs activities
The ability to work autonomously and a willingness to get stuck in.
The confidence to be able to influence and consult at the C-suite level
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
Strong written communication skills with the ability to easily convey complex and technical concepts
A passion for storytelling and a desire to make an impact.
