Workday Payroll Project Manager (Workstream & Payroll Functional Solution) required to work for a large global organization for an initial 6 months based in Sunbury, Middlesex

Role description:
The Workday Payroll Workstream & Payroll Functional Solution Project Manager will play a key role as part of the Workday Transformation project. This person will be responsible for managing the workplan and the updates for the payroll workstream, coordinate with the other workstreams, report status to the appropriate groups, ensure that the payroll team is delivering that appropriate tasks based on the deadlines, manage the risks and issues that have been assigned, facilitate business and third party engagement and other key project management tasks throughout the project life cycle. Equally this role is to act as a key Workday Functional Solution PM to drive the payroll group to solving issues around configuration in Workday, integrations between third party payroll vendors, and cross functional design.

As the Workday Payroll Workstream & Payroll Functional Solution Project Manager, this role is responsible for establishing and maintain the workplan to support the activities to drive us to a successful implementation. Also, bring best practice solutioning to the team to help bring open issues and design options to closure for both Workday configuration and the integrations in and out of Workday and Payroll.

Essential experience you will have:
Deep functional expertise in HR and Payroll
Knowledge of batch file technology and interface processing a plus
5 years or more experience in HR, Time and Payroll systems with preferential emphasis on s Vendor solutions and Workday or similar ERP solutions
Experience in working with Vendors and file transmissions to support the outsourced process
Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Time and business operations
Experienced in working with global stakeholders and team members
Proven success in managing Deployment Projects in multiple countries with multiple vendors
Proven experience in managing small to large and complex level projects with multiple work streams running concurrently
Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision
Ability to work in pressurized environment with tight deadlines
Ability to work at strategic and tactical / operational levels
Ability to work non-standard business hours to work with global team members and within deployment timelines
Proficient in use of MS Products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
