A Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer is required to join a leading Technology Company based in Oxfordshire. This excellent opportunity would suit an existing Technical Lead with Java experience or a Senior Java Developer interested in a more managerial role.

Managing a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, Testers and Product Owners/Managers in a Java 8 environment. The successful Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer will have a leading role in the Development of new Software, Product and Features and will utilise the most appropriate model for Delivery (Agile or Waterfall).

The Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer will be an excellent problem solver and will have a key role in keeping the team motivated, well trained and results driven. In addition you will have an input in recruiting new team members and keeping everyone happy.

We are looking for a Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer who has the following skills:
• Excellent understanding of Java 8 environment
• Have excellent technical skills but desire to move in to more of a managerial role
• Problem solver
• Adaptability
• Embrace challenges
• Understand complex enterprise environments and the structure of these organisations (and how to work within them)
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Understanding of delivery techniques such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Waterfall etc.

Whilst this Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer role is based in Oxford, remote working is offered once you are settled in to the team and as a result many of the team commute from locations further afield than Oxfordshire. The Technical Lead role is commutable from across various locations across Oxfordshire including but not exclusive to; Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Kidlington, Thame and Wallingford. Many people within the business also commute from places like Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Reading and Swindon.
