FIX Integration Specialist - required for a leading provider of financial technology solutions based in London on a permanent basis.

The Role:

Integration Engineer (FIX Onboarding/Support) for our trading software clients in London. You will be responsible for connecting new clients to the product once the sales team has completed the sale. This involves interacting with the sales team, technical and non-technical clients to understand and document any customization of the product, communicating that customisation to in-house and external developers, or understanding the client's technical environment and establishing the API's with the appropriate applications and feeds. Where there are technical queries and FIX connectivity issues, you are required to trouble-shoot, resolve or escalate them.

This involves liaising and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders and teams. You will also focus on providing direction and guidance to clients on best use of the client’s products and services to ensure that they obtain enhanced value.

What you will be doing

Provide 1/2 level support for internal contacts in relation to FIX connectivity.
Train and continually update Delivery and Integration team on changes to FIX certifications including new or updated trading destinations.
Create and update technical documents and contact information in relation to FIX certifications.
Liaise with Global teams and Global FIX Products departments in relation to software bugs and enhancements.
Provide regular feedback and project ticket updates to Client Managers as well as Delivery and Integration Services Manager.
Participate in internal and client project status meetings where applicable.
Ensure that the highest levels of quality and timely FIX certification services to the client and its customers/suppliers.
Gain thorough knowledge of the client’s business, their requirements and expectations of the engagement
Assist clients to ensure full utilisation and maximum value of the products, making sure any gaps in the solution are articulated internally with a resolution agreed.
Act as the subject matter expert on solutions handling all customer facing queries relating to the transition

What you will need

Strong knowledge of the FIX Protocol and trading system technology.
Possess very good skills in Microsoft Windows operating systems environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate with non-technical staff.
Ability to take ownership of FIX certification and implementation problems and work through to a satisfactory resolution.
Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with technical, product and sales teams.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to organize own time, prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks.
Have a strong attention to detail
You will have a background in Financial Services, ideally within Software Implementation.
Exposure to Equity, Futures and Options industry market data and trading software systems.
Exposure to SQL Database systems.
Basic knowledge of Linux operating system.
Work with all levels of technical staff and management (both technology and business).
Work within a global organization that spans multiple time zones.
Manage multiple projects in an efficient and timely manner
Strong attention to detail /structured and disciplined work practices
A drive to continuously improve the processes and practices
A strong customer focus and excellent relationship management skills are essential and you will have the ability to be able to see both the wider picture and hone in on the subject matter detail
Problem solving is key and you will undertake thorough analysis, and lead the hands on configurations of the implementation solutions
You will have high levels of integrity, working well under pressure in a constantly changing environment to achieve results
Experience and a working knowledge of systems implementation: requirements analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing and change management is fundamental to the success of this role.
Ability to achieve results and work in a constantly changing environment
You will have excellent communication skills along with a diplomatic nature and be comfortable building relationships with clients and colleagues alike, often up to C level
