A growing Technical Healthcare provider is currently looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team based in Oxford. The IT Support Engineer will act as the first point of contact offering support to a mix of internal staff and customers. This exciting opportunity will give the successful IT Support Engineer the opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of tools and develop your technical skills. You will work with a growing IT Team working closely with the IT Manger and Systems and Network Engineers on a range of projects giving you the chance to expand on your skills.

Duties & Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:
• Act as the 1st point of contact between staff and IT
• Answering support tickets via the Internal Service Desk
• Escalating tickets to the Systems and Network Engineer or IT Manager where necessary.
• Keeping the asset tracking systems up-to date
• Proactively supporting staff and company devices
• Installing and maintaining hardware & software
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current operating systems and standard software packages including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux variants
• Looking to innovate with ways to automate and streamline their day to day processes.

Skills & Experience of the IT Support Engineer:
• Experience supporting customers or internal employees
• Microsoft Windows and MacOs operating system support
• Experience supporting printers
• Basic networking experience
• Supporting Audio Visual equipment
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Excellent time-management skills
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Willing to learn

This role is commutable from: Oxford, Reading, Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Banbury, Wantage, Eynsham, Witney, Aylesbury
